Conclusions of a three year AgroIT project - at EIMA 2016, Bologna, Italy
EIMA 2016, Bologna, Italy,
On Nov 9th 2016 Agro IT project partners held a conference marking the end of a three-year AgroIT project. The conference titled “AgroIT Cloud Platform: The Enabler of Integrations for Digital Farming” held at EIMA International Agro Fair in Bologna, Italy, was a great success, with more than 50 people tuning in to the experts sharing experience from their fields.
We covered everything from weather forecasting in the future and digitally connected vineyards, to decision support systems for smart farming, vehicle tracking and new technologies, such as NB-IoT.
We all together came to a conclusion that we should embrace the technology that is available and harness its power to make a better future – for us and for the next generations – the buzz word is “seamless integration” to make life easier for our clients – THE FARMER.
We agreed that we should aim to make future innovations as simple and as user friendly as possible and leave farmers with a set of actionable information all in one place, instead of a spaghetti of data they have difficulty understanding, let alone utilizing. And most importantly, to help build a better connected world.
Thanks again to everybody who took the time to attend the conference and to stop by at our booth.
